What are polynucleotides for Hair?

Polynucleotides, are clinically proven to regenerate hair follicles. This is an injectable product that can improve your scalp condition and hair quality.

How does it work?

Polynucleotides are highly-purified DNA molecules extracted from fish. When we inject them into the skin, they reach the cells called fibroblasts. These cells are responsible for the birth and regrowth of new hair follicles.

Polynucleotides have the ability to stimulate the fibroblasts to regenerate hair follicles, which improves scalp condition and hair quality, while allowing for better hair growth. It can also be used onthe eyebrows.

What happens during the procedure?

Before you undergo treatment we cleanse the scalp and/or eyebrows being treated to remove any dirt and debris after that there will be administering multiple injections across the treatment area.

How many treatments are needed?

For best results, we advise minimum 8 treatments in total are recommended. The first 4 sessions within 2 weeks and after that every 3 to 4 weeks.

What results are expected?

Following treatment you can expect a less dry and itchy scalp with better quality hair growing through. Hair will be thicker, tougher and more supple, while looking fresh and rejuvenated.

Best results are noticeable after a course of treatments.

Are there any side effects?

As with any injection, you can expect your skin to be slightly red and swollen immediately after the procedure. You may experience pin-prick bleeding and some itchiness, but it is important to avoid touching the treated area and washing your hair for at least 12 hours.

Can it be used alongside other treatments?

It is an ideal treatment to have alongside other procedures such as hair transplants. It helps to boost hair quality, so new growth feels and looks so much better than before.

Qualifications, Accolades and Experience

I qualified as dentist in 2007 and have since gained a Level 7 qualification in injectable treatments (the highest possible), so you can trust that I have the skills and knowledge to deliver your treatment safely and successfully.

I am committed to continuous training to keep updated and safe in aesthetics. I completed a six-month mentorship programme with Dr Lee Walker (a leader in the industry), which has ensured I am working with the most evidenced-based research in aesthetics. I also recently took part in an ultrasound and cadaver course, which allows me to see where blood vessels are and reduce the risk of complications.

In addition, I am a senior clinical mentor, an international speaker and a key opinion leader for a dermal filler brand, demonstrating my extensive experience training other medical aesthetic practitioners.

My team and I are fully trained and equipped to manage any adverse events that may occur, thanks to my training and membership of the Complications in Medical Aesthetic Collaborative (CMAC). You can trust you are in safe hands when you undergo any treatment at my clinic.
